I earned my bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California at Riverside in 1977. I went on immediately to earn my law degree in 1980 from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in Sacramento. I am admitted to practice in all California courts and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California. I am also the only local criminal defense attorney admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
